Following four days of relentless rain and landslides in Chamba and Bharmour, the local administration has officially confirmed 10 fatalities. As stranded pilgrims begin returning home, many are voicing frustration over what they describe as administrative lapses during the crisis.

Authorities have urged the public not to be misled by social media rumors, noting that returning pilgrims are sharing their experiences independently, some critical of the district response.

The disaster, triggered by extreme weather and road blockages, has led to widespread anger, though officials acknowledge that the situation was compounded by both natural calamity and limited preparedness.
