Police District Nurpur has intensified its campaign against illegal mining. Over the past two days, coordinated actions across police stations have led to the impounding of eight vehicles. Details of the operations are as follows:
Indora Police Station: During naka checking and patrolling in the Thakurdwara outpost area, approximately 20–25 vehicles were inspected. Four tippers found operating without valid X-Forms were seized. All vehicles were impounded under the Mining Act, challaned, and cases referred to the court.
Jawali Police Station: At the Nagrota Surian outpost, naka checking led to the interception of two tractors loaded with sand. Both vehicles were impounded, challaned, and cases referred to the court.
Damtal Police Station: In the Damtal jurisdiction, one tractor without valid documents was seized. Additionally, during night patrolling by the IC of Dhangoopir outpost along with staff, one dumper operating without an X-Form was caught. Both vehicles were impounded under the Mining Act, challaned, and cases will be presented before the Hon’ble JMFC Court, Indora.
Police District Nurpur affirms that the campaign against illegal mining will continue with full force. Citizens are urged to comply with rules and regulations to support lawful practices.
