Nurpur Police Destroy 20,000 Litres of Illicit Liquor in Major Raid

In a major crackdown under the special campaign against drugs and illegal liquor trade, Nurpur Police carried out a successful raid in the Damtal police station area. Acting on a secret tip‑off, a joint team led by SDPO Indora and comprising QRT, CIA, and Damtal Police conducted a surprise operation in the locality.

During the raid, police recovered nearly 20,000 litres of lahan (fermented raw material used for brewing illicit liquor), which was immediately destroyed on the spot. Officials stated that the illegal liquor trade is not only a violation of law but also poses a serious threat to public health and social safety.

Police further emphasized that strict action against those involved in illicit liquor production will continue in the future. Nurpur Police has appealed to the public to promptly inform authorities if they come across any activity related to drugs, liquor, or other unlawful practices.

The district police reiterated their commitment to intensify the campaign across Nurpur to completely curb the menace of illegal liquor and narcotics.
