Nurpur Police Continue Crackdown Against Illegal Mining Mafia, 2 Tippers and 4 Tractors Seized

Nurpur District Police have continued their ongoing campaign against illegal mining. As part of this drive, strict action was taken on January 24 and 25, 2026, against illegal mining activities in various areas under Police Station Indora (Tanda Mod Mand area) and Police Stations Nurpur and Damtal.

During the operation, the police seized a total of six vehicles, including two tippers and four tractors, which were found to be involved in illegal mining activities. All seized vehicles have been challaned under the provisions of the Mining Act. The challans against the accused are being forwarded to the Hon’ble Court for further legal proceedings as per rules.

Nurpur District Police have reiterated that their campaign against illegal mining will continue in the future as well, and strict action will be taken against anyone found involved in such unlawful activities.
