Nurpur Police Tighten Grip on Drug Traffickers – Three Arrested with 7 Grams of Heroin/Chitta

As part of the ongoing campaign against drug trafficking, Nurpur Police have arrested three accused with 7 grams of heroin/chitta in the jurisdiction of Police Station Rehan.

The case has been registered under FIR No. 24/2026 dated 08.03.2026, under Sections 21, 25, and 29 of the ND&PS Act at Police Station Rehan.

On the night of 07.03.2026 at around 10:30 PM, a team from the CIA staff of Nurpur Police District was conducting patrol and naka checking near Sunshine Hotel, Rehan, on Chhatar Link Road. During the operation, a white Omni van (HP90-0386) was stopped and searched as per procedure.

Upon inspection, 7 grams of heroin/chitta was recovered from a ladies’ purse kept in the vehicle’s dashboard.

The following accused have been arrested in connection with the case:

  1. Deepak Singh, son of Joginder Singh, resident of Ward No. 1, VPO Dahab, Tehsil Fatehpur, District Kangra.
  2. Rajesh Singh, son of Karan Singh, resident of Ward No. 5, VPO Rehan, Tehsil Fatehpur, District Kangra.
  3. Shubham, son of Sanjay Kumar, resident of Ward No. 2, VPO Rehan, Tehsil Fatehpur, District Kangra.

The accused have been taken into custody and interrogation is underway.

Nurpur Police District reaffirms its commitment to continue strict action against drug trafficking in the region.
