To strengthen road safety and ensure quick assistance for travelers and locals, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has stationed a highway patrol vehicle on the Chamba–Bharmour National Highway.
In case of road accidents, vehicle breakdowns, landslides, traffic disruptions, or any other emergency, citizens can dial the NHAI helpline 1033. Upon receiving a call, the patrol vehicle will promptly reach the spot to provide necessary support and coordinate relief and rescue operations as required.
This initiative marks a significant step toward enhancing safety along the Chamba–Bharmour route, ensuring continuous monitoring and rapid response on the highway. Authorities have urged all drivers and passengers not to panic during emergencies but to immediately contact 1033 and follow traffic rules for a safe journey.
