In a bid to prioritise basic public facilities, Nurpur MLA Ranbir Singh Nikka has facilitated the installation of a water cooler near Shiv Temple on the main road in Bhatka village of Kopra Panchayat.
The new facility will benefit both local residents and commuters, providing safe drinking water, especially during the summer months when relief from heat is most needed.
Villagers expressed gratitude to the MLA, noting that his active involvement in development projects is visible on the ground. They said that the true measure of a public representative lies in fulfilling the everyday needs of the people.
MLA Nikka emphasised that politics should not be limited to election campaigns but must involve understanding and addressing local problems. He added that even small initiatives, such as ensuring drinking water facilities, form an important part of public service.
With the installation of the water cooler, residents and travellers in Bhatka village will now have access to a much‑needed amenity, marking another step in strengthening public conveniences in the Nurpur constituency.
