The  Newz Radar

Shimla: On January 31st, the Congress initiated the “Jai Jawan” campaign. Through this campaign, the Congress has opened a front against the BJP government at the Centre regarding the Agnipath scheme.

The Congress has labeled this scheme of the Central government as anti-soldier. During a press conference at the Shimla Pradesh Congress headquarters, national Congress spokesperson Abhay Dubey targeted the Central government regarding the Agnipath scheme.

He accused the Centre of seeking votes only on the sacrifice of soldiers.

Abhay Dubey, the national spokesperson of the Congress, said that those who seek votes on the sacrifice of soldiers do not protect the interests of the soldiers or the government. During this time, he condemned the Agnipath scheme, alleging injustice to the soldiers of the Indian Army by the Central government.

He said that on January 31, 2024, Rahul Gandhi had already initiated the “Jai Jawan” campaign. He said that through this campaign, the old recruitment process in the army should be reinstated. In addition to this, due to the Agnipath scheme, about 1.5 million youth who were recruited between 2019 and 2022 were left unemployed.

Regarding the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), Abhay Dubey expressed the opinion of the Congress party, saying that the thoughts of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar should be implemented. He said that during the formation of the Constitution, it was said that the UCC should not be imposed on anyone. He said that bringing the UCC is only an election issue of the BJP. He said that before this, during the elections, the BJP also brought up the CAA and NRC. But today, the BJP has no answer to it. He said that during the election, the BJP is trying to create a religious frenzy by raising issues like the UCC.

Regarding the former companions of the Congress joining the BJP, national spokesperson Abhay Dubey said that the Central government is using the ED to bring corrupt leaders into its fold. He said that the BJP has no inhibition in bringing those who commit atrocities against women, are anti-national, and corrupt into their party. He said that fearing action by the ED on the corruption of leaders, the BJP has joined them in their party to only win elections. During this time, Abhay Dubey mentioned leaders from Sharad Pawar to Nitish Kumar, saying that to avoid action by the ED, all these leaders have joined hands with the BJP.
