The Golden Jubilee Foundation of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has donated state-of-the-art medical equipment to the Regional Spinal Injuries Center in Mohali. The donated items include a modern DEXA scan machine and an endoscopy/laparoscopy set, collectively worth ₹1.25 crore.
These advanced facilities will greatly enhance diagnostic and treatment capabilities, particularly for conditions such as calcium deficiency, osteoporosis, kidney ailments, prostate issues, and other urological disorders.
The equipment was formally inaugurated by LIC Managing Director Satpal Bhanu. Dr. Raj Bahadur, Project Director of the Regional Spinal Injuries Center, welcomed the chief guest and expressed gratitude for the contribution.
Senior officials present at the event included Sonam Chiwang, Senior Divisional Manager (LIC Chandigarh), Marketing Manager Prakash Chauhan, along with Padam Singh, Shashi Kant, Kamal Batra, and Manoj Chawla.
Dr. Raj Bahadur highlighted that this donation marks a significant step forward in strengthening healthcare services, benefiting patients undergoing treatment at the center. The Regional Spinal Injuries Center is recognized as a premier facility in North India for managing spinal injuries and urological diseases.
