Kullu: A Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) Volvo bus was attacked by a group of tourists near the Kullu bus stand In Himachal Pradesh late on Sunday (December 14, 2025) night following a dispute over seating, triggering panic at the busy terminal.
According to the police, the incident took place around 10.45 pm when the Volvo bus en route from Manali to Delhi was halted near the bus stand. A group of youths from Haryana allegedly created a ruckus after failing to get seats on the bus and went on to pelt stones, smashing the vehicle’s window panes.
The police have taken one accused into custody, while three others involved in the stone-pelting managed to flee the scene. A case has been registered and efforts are on to trace the absconding suspects.

A video of the incident, which has since surfaced, shows a youth hurling stones at the bus as two others stand nearby. In the clip, a person inside the bus can be heard asking someone to record the incident. The attackers are seen fleeing soon after, but their actions were captured on camera.
The police said further investigation is underway to identify all those involved and to ascertain the sequence of events leading to the attack.
