Private School Bus Overturns in Palampur, Six Students and Teacher Injured

A private school bus overturned on the Lahat–Shivnagar road in Palampur area of Kangra district on Tuesday morning today, leaving six students and a teacher injured.

The bus, belonging to a private school in the Pahra area of Palampur, met with the accident under yet unclear circumstances. The injured were promptly shifted to the Civil Hospital, Palampur, where they are undergoing treatment.

Local sources pointed out that the condition of the road where the accident occurred is extremely poor, raising concerns over road safety in the area. However, the exact cause of the mishap has not been officially confirmed so far.

Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the accident.
