Kangra: In a heartfelt tribute to the victims of the Pahalgam terrorist attack, Arni University at Kangra in Himachal Pradesh held a condolence ceremony on the campus on Wednesday (April 24, 2025).
The gathering brought together university faculty, staff and students, all united in grief and solidarity.
The ceremony began with a two-minute silence observed in the memory of those who lost their lives. As a mark of respect, the national flag was lowered to half-mast on the university premises.
Addressing the gathering, Arni University Chancellor Dr Vivek Singh expressed deep sorrow over the incident.
“The brutal attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam is not only deeply condemnable but also a direct assault on the unity and integrity of our nation,” he said.
Dr Singh urged everyone to rise above differences and stand together in denouncing terrorism in all forms.
He also extended prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured and emphasised the need for national unity in such trying times.
