Leader of Opposition and former CM Jairam Thakur met Union Home & Cooperation Minister Amit Shah and Bjp National President & Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda in New Delhi on Tuesday, congratulating Both the Leaders on the BJP-led alliance’s sweeping victory in Bihar. Thakur said he also discussed Himachal’s disaster relief challenges and pending rehabilitation works with Shah.

He later met BJP national president and Union Health Minister JP Nadda and extended greetings on the party’s strong performance in Bihar.

Speaking to the media, Thakur launched a sharp attack on the Sukhu government, alleging that disaster relief efforts have “completely failed” and that basic services like roads, power and water remain disrupted at several places even ahead of peak winter.

Thakur accused the state government of being “directionless and immature”, claiming that law and order has collapsed after recent shooting incidents in Una and Solan. He said the killing of a Youth Congress leader in Una and clashes involving Congress leaders have raised serious questions on the government’s control and intent.

He further alleged that instead of curbing crime, the government is “pressuring journalists” and attempting to hide facts emerging from ongoing investigations.

On the issue of panchayat elections, Thakur said the government first delayed re-delimitation despite repeated reminders from the State Election Commission, and issued delimitation orders only after the Model Code of Conduct froze boundaries. He termed the move “unprecedented and unconstitutional”.

Thakur said the BJP will corner the government on all its “failures and anti-people decisions” during the Assembly session starting tomorrow.
