Vice President Rajni Mahajan Assures Early Repair

The main road leading to the parking area of Housing Board Colony in Ward No. 2 under Nurpur Municipal Council has deteriorated badly, causing frequent accidents and sparking anger and fear among local residents.
Impact on Daily Life
Residents report that nearly 30 to 40 houses are located along this lane, which also serves as a vital link between Ward No. 2 and Ward No. 5. The road has become so damaged that even walking has become difficult, posing serious challenges especially for the elderly and children.
Appeal to Authorities
Concerned citizens have strongly appealed to SDM Nurpur, the Executive Officer (EO) of the Municipal Council, Council President Ashok Sharma, and Vice President & Ward Councillor Rajni Mahajan to prioritize the repair work in the interest of public safety.
Statement from the Vice President
Speaking on the matter, Municipal Council Vice President and Ward No. 2 Councillor Rajni Mahajan said:
“The heavy rains had severely damaged this road. We took up the issue on priority and, on December 28, prepared a detailed estimate through SDM Nurpur and forwarded it to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) for budget approval.”
Site Inspection Soon
Mahajan assured residents that she will soon conduct a site inspection along with Council President Ashok Sharma and the EO. She emphasized that once administrative formalities are completed, the road construction work will begin on a priority basis to provide relief to the public.
