MANDI: The Himachal Pradesh government is opening doors of overseas employment for local youth, with its initiative now yielding successful results.
Several young aspirants are realising their dreams of securing jobs abroad, particularly in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
A spokesperson from the state government said the Labour and Employment Department, in association with Overseas Placement Himachal, has received job demands for technical and non-technical roles in the UAE. The recruitment is being facilitated through EPS Facilities Services India Private Limited, a registered recruitment agency with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
Positions available in Abu Dhabi, Dubai
The positions are available at the Abu Dhabi Nuclear Power Plant and Provis School, a renowned real estate company. The job openings include both technical and non-technical categories. Selected candidates for these roles will receive monthly salaries ranging from Rs 22,800 to Rs 1,14,450.
Eligibility criteria and selection process
For these roles, applicants must meet specific eligibility requirements, including:
•Minimum educational qualification till Class X
•ITI certifications in fields such as electrician, carpenter, plumber, lift and machine operator, assistant technician or painter
•Basic knowledge of English
•A valid passport
•Age limit: 21 to 40 years
Candidates selected for technical and non-technical positions will also be provided with residential facilities in Abu Dhabi. However, they will need to travel to Delhi for medical examinations and visa stamping before deployment.
Bike riders needed for Dubai delivery services
In addition to the technical and non-technical roles, recruitment is also open for bike riders in Dubai for delivery services. Candidates must meet the following requirements:
•Minimum qualification of Class X
•Basic English knowledge
•Valid Indian driving licence
•Valid passport
•Age limit: 21 to 45 years
Selected bike riders will be employed under a two-year contract and provided with accommodation, a bike, fuel and a SIM card. During their two-month training period, they will receive a meal allowance of Rs 7,000. Following the training, they will be paid a monthly salary of Rs 34,000 along with Rs 26,000 in additional allowances.
