Dharamshala: The winter session of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly is set to commence on December 18 at the Tapovan Assembly complex in Dharamshala.
The session will have four sittings, said Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania. This will be the seventh session of the current government.
Speaker Pathania, who recently returned from an international trip, has already sent a proposal for the session to the Governor for approval. The official notification will be issued once the Governor sanctions the proposal. While still abroad in Seoul, Pathania had issued directives to the Kangra district administration to ensure all necessary arrangements for the session were in place. He emphasised the importance of proper planning and assured that he would personally visit Dharamshala soon to review the preparations.
A detailed press conference regarding the session will be held in Shimla on Thursday (November 28, 2024), where Pathania is expected to provide further insights.
On his return to India, Pathania was warmly welcomed at the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat by Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania, MLA Malendra Rajan and officials and staff of the Secretariat. They presented him with a bouquet to mark the occasion.
