Banuri: The Constitution Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at Shaheed Major Sudhir Kumar Walia Government Excellence Senior Secondary School at Banuri in Palampur subdivision of Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh.
The day began with a special assembly where students were enlightened about the significance of the Indian Constitution.
The programme commenced with the lighting of lamps in front of the portrait of Babasaheb Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar and the Constitution, an exercise that was led by Principal Ravindra Kumar Verma, Vice-Principal Rita Nanda, NSS in-charge Balwant Singh and senior spokesperson Rakesh Bhardwaj.
Students of Class 10+2 actively participated in speech and slogan-writing competitions. Shagun, Sakshi, Vanshika and Renu delivered impactful speeches, while Sakshi and Renu secured first place in poster-making. Shagun won the speech competition, while Nilesh and Arpit excelled in slogan writing.
