On the sixth day of the melodious Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha held in Chamba’s remote Pangi region, revered Raghav Rishi Ji delivered a powerful discourse on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. Addressing a gathering of devoted listeners at the sports hall in Kilaar, he proclaimed Hanumanji Maharaj as the Rudra avatar—one of the eleven manifestations of Lord Sadashiv. In the age of Kali, he said, Hanumanji is the eternal thread connecting all sacred narratives and the most auspicious medium for divine grace.

Organized under the banner of Rishi Seva Samiti, the event highlighted the spiritual significance of the twelve Jyotirlingas. Raghav Rishi Ji explained that mere remembrance of these sacred forms of Lord Shiva can absolve sins accumulated over seven lifetimes. The tale of Somnath Jyotirlinga, where Lord Shiva restored the moon’s brilliance after a curse from Daksha Prajapati, deeply moved the audience. Through the chanting of the Mrityunjaya Mantra, the moon regained its full form, and Shiva’s radiant energy was enshrined as the Somnath Jyotirlinga.

The evening resonated with devotion as Saurabh Rishi’s soulful bhajan “Tera Pal Pal Beeta Jaye, Mukh Se Japle Namah Shivay” enchanted the crowd, prompting spontaneous dance and heartfelt worship. Committee members including Prem Thakur, Roshan Rana, Bhani Chandra Thakur, and others led the concluding aarti, offering prayers for collective well-being.

Media coordinator Shiv Suryavanshi announced that the following day would feature an elaborate explanation of the twelve Jyotirlingas and a grand Maha Rudrabhishek ceremony.
