Dharamshala — The Department of Master of Computer Applications (MCA) at Government College Dharamshala organised a one-day workshop on “Backend Engineering” today, aimed at equipping students with practical knowledge of emerging technologies in software development.
Industry experts Mr. Ankit and Mr. Ganesh from Development Logics led the session, introducing participants to foundational principles and modern tools used in backend development. Through interactive discussions and real-world examples, they covered critical topics such as server-side architecture, database management, APIs, and security protocols—encouraging students to think beyond the textbook and engage with current industry practices.

Presided over by College Principal Mr. Rakesh Pathania and coordinated by Dr. V.S. Vats, the event drew enthusiastic participation from third-semester MCA students. The workshop created a dynamic learning environment where students not only explored backend workflows but also learned how these processes integrate into full-stack applications and enterprise systems.
“The session helped us bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application. It was exciting to learn from professionals actively working in the tech field,” said one of the student attendees.
Development Logics, a local leader in digital development and social impact technology, has been actively collaborating with academic institutions to promote hands-on education and skill-building in Himachal Pradesh.
Such workshops reflect the college’s commitment to preparing students for industry demands and fostering connections between academic curricula and the professional world. The MCA Department plans to continue hosting similar events to strengthen student exposure to real-time development environments and expand their career-readiness toolkit.
