A three-day free surgical camp based on Kshar Sutra therapy is currently underway at BBMB Hospital, Sundernagar, jointly organised by Rotary Club Chhoti Kashi Mandi and Rotary Club Suket. The camp, which began on April 14, is witnessing a strong response from patients suffering from anorectal conditions.

The camp focuses on the treatment of piles (hemorrhoids) and fissures using the traditional and minimally invasive Kshar Sutra technique. According to organizers, more than 50 patients have been diagnosed in the first two days, while seven patients have successfully undergone surgical procedures so far.

A team of experienced doctors is attending to patients at the camp, including Rtn Dr Hem Lata, Rtn Manju Bhardwaj, Rtn Renu Ghulati, and Rtn Sita Ram Bansal. The medical team is providing consultations, diagnosis, and surgical interventions free of cost.

The initiative is being actively supported by members of both Rotary clubs. From Rotary Club Chhoti Kashi, President Hemlata, Secretary Renu Gulati, along with members Suman Sharma and Akhilesh Bharti, are overseeing arrangements. From Rotary Club Suket, President Manju Bhardwaj, Secretary R.L. Chauhan, and members Kanchan Sen, Arti Verma, Sita Ram Bansal, and Neena Sharma are contributing to the camp’s smooth execution.

Organizers highlighted that the camp aims to provide safe, effective, and non-invasive treatment options, especially for patients who cannot afford expensive surgical procedures. The Kshar Sutra method is known for minimal pain, faster recovery, and reduced chances of complications.

With one more day remaining, the camp continues to draw patients from across the region, reflecting both the need for such healthcare initiatives and the impact of community-driven service efforts.
