Fourth Arrest in 1.210 kg Charas Case Through Backward Linkage Investigation

Nurpur Police District has achieved another breakthrough in its ongoing special campaign against narcotics. Acting on technical analysis and human intelligence, police have arrested Sanjay Kumar (24), son of Sher Singh, resident of Village Kundal, Tehsil Salooni, District Chamba, Himachal Pradesh.

This marks the fourth arrest in FIR No. 41/26 dated April 13, 2026, registered at Police Station Rehan under Sections 20, 25, and 29 of the NDPS Act.

  • On the day of the incident, accused Robin and Yusuf (both residents of Chamba) were caught with 1.210 kg of charas.
  • Subsequently, police arrested Shukrdeen (resident of Chamba) through backward linkage investigation.
  • Now, connecting further dots in the case, Sanjay Kumar has been taken into custody.

Nurpur Police emphasized that the investigation is aimed at reaching the roots of the drug network. Authorities are probing the involvement of other individuals linked to this illegal trade. The district police have reiterated that no person involved in narcotics trafficking will be spared and strict legal action will continue.
