The Idea of Bharat Foundation will launch a 60‑day door‑to‑door awareness campaign under the banner “Drug-Free Nurpur, Chitta-Free Nurpur” starting September 20, 2026.
The initiative aims to spread awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse, motivate youth to stay away from drugs, and unite families and communities in the fight against addiction.
Addressing a press conference, Foundation President Rahul Sharma emphasized that the battle against drugs is not the responsibility of any single person or institution, but a collective duty of society. He said the campaign teams will visit villages and households, focusing especially on engaging with young people and parents to raise awareness.
“‘Drug-Free Nurpur, Chitta-Free Nurpur’ is not just a slogan, but a pledge to protect society from the menace of drugs,” Sharma stated. He appealed to citizens to raise their voices against addiction and help connect local youth with positive activities.
Over the next 60 days, the Foundation will conduct continuous outreach and awareness programs to reach as many families in the Nurpur region as possible.
Prominent attendees at the press conference included Shubham Pal Singh, Kuldeep Thakur, Advocate Sonu Pundra, and Prem Sharma, along with other distinguished guests.
