In line with the directives of the Himachal Pradesh School Education Department, DAV Public School, Bankhandi organised an awareness programme under the Tobacco-Free Campaign.
On this occasion, students displayed their creativity through attractive and message-oriented posters, highlighting the harmful effects of tobacco consumption and inspiring society to adopt a drug-free lifestyle. Through their artistic expressions, the students conveyed that tobacco is not only hazardous to health but also obstructs the growth of families, society, and the nation.
The programme aimed to instill a sense of responsibility among youth by promoting awareness for the creation of a healthy and tobacco-free society.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Mr. Virender Sharma emphasized that the youth are the future of the nation. He stated, “If students pledge today to stay away from tobacco and other addictions, it is possible to build a healthy, aware, and empowered society.” He further urged students to become self-aware and spread awareness among their families and communities about the ill effects of tobacco.
The event concluded with a collective resolve to work towards a drug-free and healthier future.
