Dalhousie – Shri Guru Singh Sabha Dalhousie celebrated its 99th annual Diwan with deep devotion and reverence. Gurudwara President Paramjit Singh expressed joy at the milestone, noting that the Gurudwara Sahib, built by their elders, has now completed 99 years, and next year will mark its centenary—a moment of great pride for the community.

The religious proceedings began on June 11 with the commencement of the Akhand Path, which was concluded on June 15 with its final recitation. A grand Nagar Kirtan was organized on June 14, drawing participation from local devotees and tourists alike. The event witnessed vibrant performances from Kirtan groups, including Bhai Kulwinder Singh’s team from Kharar, who enthralled the congregation at Subhash Chowk and Gandhi Chowk. The local Kirtan Jatha, featuring Bhai Manish and Vishal Kohli, along with Bhai Kulwinder, offered soul-stirring renditions at the Gurudwara, uplifting the spirits of all attendees.

Following the prayers, Guru’s Langar was served to everyone present, allowing devotees to partake in the sacred offering. President Paramjit Singh, along with other members of Shri Guru Singh Sabha, extended heartfelt gratitude to visitors, including pilgrims from Chamba, for their unwavering support and participation.

As the Gurudwara approaches its historic 100th year, the congregation remains committed to preserving its legacy and continuing this sacred tradition with equal devotion. The celebration marked a significant spiritual and cultural moment for the Sikh community in Dalhousie.
