The Tibetan community in Dalhousie will celebrate with great joy and reverence the 91st birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama on 6 july. The festivities will begin at 10:00 a.m. with prayers and a traditional smoke puja, setting a spiritual tone for the day.
The celebration will be graced by the presence of Chief Guest Smt. Asha Kumari (Former Education Minister, Govt. of Himachal Pradesh), Guest of Honor Shri Anil Kumar Bhardwaj (SDM Dalhousie), Special Guest Shri Mayank Sharma (DSP Dalhousie), Smt. Vandana Chadda (President, MC Dalhousie), Shri Ramesh Kumar Chauhan (Tehsildar Dalhousie), and Dr. (Capt.) G.S. Dhillon (President, Indo‑Tibetan Friendship Society), along with other dignitaries.
The program will feature cake cutting, vibrant traditional dance performances, and the presentation of souvenirs. The Chief Guest and Guest of Honor will address the gathering, offering heartfelt wishes and reflections on His Holiness’s message of peace, compassion, and unity.
All dignitaries and participants will be treated to a community lunch, adding warmth and fellowship to the occasion. The birthday celebration will continue over three days, providing ample opportunity for cultural programs, bonding, and joyous commemorations.
