BJP State Spokesperson Sanjay Sharma stated that under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Central Government is fully committed to the holistic development and infrastructural advancement of Himachal Pradesh. He highlighted that on July 17, the region will receive two major gifts—the Ambala-Kala Amb Highway and the Daulatpur Chowk-Kartoli new rail line—clear evidence of the Centre’s dedication to putting Himachal firmly on the track of progress.

Sharma explained that the newly constructed Daulatpur Chowk-Kartoli rail line, developed under the ₹830 crore Nangal Dam-Talwara-Mukerian project, will significantly strengthen rail connectivity for Una district and the entire state with Punjab and other parts of the country. Similarly, the Ambala-Kala Amb Highway will provide seamless connectivity to the Kala Amb Industrial Belt, reducing logistics costs and opening new avenues for investment. Both projects, he emphasized, will serve as milestones for employment opportunities and tourism growth in Himachal.

Launching a sharp attack on the state government, Sharma said, “While the BJP-led Centre is connecting Himachal with modern networks of roads and railways, the Congress government in the state is busy lamenting financial distress. Burdened under false guarantees, the Congress has no major achievement to showcase in the name of development.”

He further added that whenever Himachal faced disasters or required development support, the Modi government rose above party politics to extend wholehearted assistance—be it central funds for road restoration or major infrastructure projects. The BJP, he asserted, has always placed Himachal’s interests first.

Extending congratulations to the people of the state, Sharma said these historic projects will play a pivotal role in making Himachal Pradesh self-reliant and economically stronger in the times ahead.
