Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today inspected the ongoing construction of Himachal Niketan at Dwarka, New Delhi, and directed officials to ensure its completion within the next six months.
The project, being built at an estimated cost of ₹145 crore, will feature 107 rooms, a restaurant, banquet hall, multipurpose hall, meeting hall, dormitories, parking facilities, landscaped gardens, and EV charging stations, among other amenities. The Chief Minister said that Himachal Niketan, designed with almost five-star facilities, will provide much-needed accommodation for Himachalis visiting the national capital for medical treatment, education, and other purposes.
Shri Sukhu emphasized that the state government remains responsive to the needs of its people, and the additional building in New Delhi reflects this commitment.
