CIA Nurpur Strikes Drug Mafia, Two Arrested with 43.56 Grams Heroin; Car Seized

In a major crackdown against drug traffickers, the CIA Nurpur team achieved another success by intercepting a Swift car at the Kandwal checkpost. During inspection, police recovered 43.56 grams of heroin (chitta) from two youths, exposing links to a wider interstate drug supply network.

Accused Identified:

  1. Akshay Kumar (29), resident of Samloti, Tehsil Kangra, Himachal Pradesh.
  2. Savran Singh (28), resident of Babehali, District Gurdaspur, Punjab (currently residing in Bindraban, Tehsil Palampur, Himachal Pradesh).

Seizure Details: The contraband along with the Swift car (registration number HP94-7541) used in trafficking has been taken into police custody.

Investigation Underway: Police officials stated that the operation has provided crucial leads into the interstate drug mafia’s supply chain. Intensive investigation is underway to dismantle the entire network, and further arrests are expected.

Legal Action: A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the NDPS Act at Nurpur Police Station. Both have been taken into custody, and further legal proceedings are in progress.
