Palampur: The recruitment process for Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) positions in Himachal Pradesh has come under scrutiny after a chaotic scene unfolded at Villa Camilla, Palampur, where interviews were scheduled to take place. Hundreds of NTT holders from various blocks of the district arrived with hopes of securing a job, only to find themselves in a disorganized and frustrating situation.
The hall at Villa Camilla was packed beyond capacity, with thousands of women waiting for their turn. However, the lack of discipline and proper management led to confusion and distress among the candidates. Only two officials were handling documentation, and their responses to inquiries were vague, leaving many uncertain whether actual interviews were taking place or if the process was merely a formality.

Candidates expressed concerns over the fairness of the recruitment process, questioning whether backdoor entries were being facilitated. Many waited patiently, hoping for their chance, but instead found themselves caught in a web of unclear procedures and unanswered questions.
“If the interview process is conducted in such a manner, it raises serious doubts about transparency and merit-based selection,” said one frustrated candidate. “People travel long distances with the hope of securing employment, only to face disappointment.”
The government has been urged to intervene and ensure a fair and structured recruitment process. Without proper oversight, critics warn that only those with influential connections will secure jobs, leaving highly qualified candidates sidelined. The issue has sparked concerns about the broader implications for employment fairness in the region.
