Subhash Mahajan
CHAMBA:
The ongoing Shiv Mahapuran Katha, organised by the Rishi Seva Samiti at Pangi in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, continued on its second day at the Sports Complex in Killar, Pangi. The session was marked by profound spiritual discourse delivered by internationally renowned spiritual orator, Sri Vidya Siddh Saint Jyotish Samrat Pujya Raghav Rishi, who had arrived from Kashi.
Unveiling deep spiritual truths, Raghav Rishi Ji explained that the formless aspect (Nirakar Swaroop) of Sadashiv is none other than the Shivling. He said, “The form of Lord Shiva is the very embodiment of benevolence—‘Shivam Kalyan Dayakam’. Whether divine, human or demonic, the welfare of all beings is ensured through His grace. Without the blessings of Lord Shiva, no action in this world can succeed.”
He described the Shiv Mahapuran as a comprehensive text that offers a direct vision of Lord Shiva’s eternal and infinite wisdom. It is a spiritual guide that leads devotees toward liberation from the cycle of birth and death while offering a simple and accessible path to devotion and salvation.
Divine music and spiritual insight
Adding a devotional rhythm to the evening, Saurabh Rishi rendered a soulful bhajan, “Shiv Shankar Avinashi Bhajo Re Mann Kailashi”, moving the audience into a deep spiritual trance. Devotees were visibly overwhelmed with emotion and joy as they swayed to the divine melodies.
Continuing the Katha, Raghav Rishi elaborated on the dual nature of Lord Shiva — His all-encompassing (sakal) and formless (nishkal) forms. He explained that the Shivling represents this Nishkal Nirakar Swaroop, with several manifestations like the Sphatik (crystal) Shivling, Parad (mercury) Shivling and Narmadeshwar Shivling.
Among these, the Sphatik Shivling is especially beneficial for household devotees, he said. “Worship of the Sphatik Shivling brings success in desired endeavours and spiritual upliftment. Every household should install and worship a Sphatik Shivling to invite Lord Shiva’s grace into their lives,” he urged.
He emphasised that Shivling worship is a potent means to fulfill desires and encouraged devotees to lead lives imbued with Shiva consciousness.
The event witnessed an enthusiastic turnout, with several distinguished members of the Rishi Seva Samiti and local devotees participating in the evening aarti of Lord Shiva and his divine family. Notable attendees included Shivnath Sharma, Prem Thakur, Roshan Rana, Prem Raj Lala, Anil Singh, Bhani Chandra, Rajendra Thakur, Rajeev Sharma, Ravindra Thakur, Ranjit, Man Singh, Chatur Negi, Mangal Thakur, Kishan Thakur, Prakash Thakur, Mahendra Rana, Santosh Pradhan, Chhatra Singh, Happy Thakur, Rajkumar Soni, Kalyan, Sansar and Shiv Sharma.
