The Dalhousie administration organised a grand celebration at Subhash Chowk in Dalhousie in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh to mark Republic Day.
Dalhousie Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Anil Bhardwaj unfurled the national flag, followed by a salute from the police contingent. Prior to the ceremony, the chief guest paid floral tributes to the statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
Prominent dignitaries present at the event included Dalhousie DSP Hemant Thakur, Dalhousie SHO Jagbir Singh and Tehsildar Ramesh Chauhan, among others. The stage proceedings were conducted by Virendra Thakur, general secretary of the Desh Bhakt Sardar Ajit Singh Yadgar Sabha.
During the ceremony, employees of the Jal Shakti Department, Sudhir Kumar and Dharam Chand were honoured with appreciation certificates by the SDM for their outstanding service.
The chief guest extended warm wishes and congratulations to all citizens on Republic Day. Several officials, including Superintendent Prem Kumar and staff members Darshan Kumar, along with police personnel Sanjeev Sharma, Vivek Kumar, Ashwini Kumar, Rajiv Kumar, Mohit Raina, Raj Kumar, Amar Singh, Aditya Jaryal, Arun Kumar, Aditya Babu, Tilak Sharma, Rakesh Gupta, Bhan Singh Chauhan, Ram Singh Chauhan, Lakshit Soni, Raghav Mahajan, Prem Kumar, Tilak Raj and Keval Kumar, were also present.
