The Chaitra Navratri festivities started with fervour in Himachal Pradesh on Sunday (March 30, 2025) with complete preparations underway at various Shaktipeeths across the state.
Temples have been beautifully decorated, with many adorned with exotic flowers from around the world.
As thousands of devotees flock to these temples, the authorities have deployed adequate security, including the presence of Home Guard and police personnel, along with drone surveillance and CCTV monitoring.
Extra sanitation staff will be assigned to ensure cleanliness around the temples throughout the Navratri period. During these nine days, lakhs of devotees are expected to visit the temples.
In Kangra, the gates of Chamunda Nandikeshwar Dham will open at 4 am to allow devotees to seek blessings. The temple has been lavishly decorated.

The gates of the Bajreshwari Mata Temple in Kangra will open at 4.30 am, with the temple administration having made thorough arrangements for the comfort and safety of devotees.
At the Jawalamukhi Mata Temple in Kangra, the sanctum sanctorum will open at 5 am. Security will be heightened, with police and Home Guard personnel deployed to maintain peace and order. Drone surveillance will keep track of the activities in and around the temple.
The doors of the Chintpurni Mata Temple in Una will be open from 1 am for darshan, with aarti taking place at 5.30 am and 8 pm. A midday offering of bhog will be made at 12.30 pm for the devotees.
At Naina Devi, the temple will open at 2 am for darshan. The temple will remain closed for just 2.5 hours from midnight to 2 am. During the midnight hours, a series of aartis, including the evening, bedtime and morning aarti, will take place simultaneously.
