Chief Electoral Officer of Himachal Pradesh, Nandita Gupta, chaired a review meeting today at the NIC video conference hall regarding the ongoing special intensive revision of electoral rolls in the district.

She appreciated the mapping (verification) progress under the 2002 intensive revision based on the electoral roll of January 1, 2025. She instructed officials to prioritize online hearings and also organize special camps at the panchayat level. She further directed verification of voter records of employees and workers who had moved due to hydropower projects, as well as ensuring inclusion of nomadic families and migrant residents from other states.

The Chief Electoral Officer also reviewed cases related to temporary settlements and stressed that no eligible voter should be left out of the electoral process. She engaged with district officials, took feedback, and issued directions to improve voter facilitation.
