Mandi district witnessed a serious accident this morning when a Hyundai Venue car (UP-19-W-4908) plunged nearly 100 meters into a deep gorge near Bathedi on the Arang road in the Katoula area. The vehicle, carrying five youths from Haryana, was en route to Parashar Lake but lost its way and ended up on the Katoula route. Around 6:06 AM, the driver lost control near Bathedi, causing the car to veer off the road and tumble into the gorge.
All five occupants sustained injuries, with one reported to be in critical condition. The group had set out early in the morning for a leisure trip to Parashar Lake, but the mishap turned their journey tragic. Rescue operations were carried out, and the injured were rushed for medical treatment.
