In a grand celebration of academic excellence, The Newz Radar is all set to honour 400 outstanding students at the TNR Shining Star Little Champ Awards in Dharamshala. The felicitation ceremony will take place at the auditorium of the Government Degree College, Dharamshala, on Friday (August 29, 2025).
Students from Classes VI, VII, VIII, IX and XI of the 2024-25 academic session of CBSE, ICSE and HP Board schools will be recognised for their exceptional scholastic achievements.

The prestigious event will witness the presence of former Dharamshala Municipal Corporation Mayor Devinder Jaggi as the chief guest and IAS officer and Dharamshala MC Commissioner Zaffar Iqbal as the special guest.

Aspire IIT-Medical-Shimla is the sponsor of the event, which promises to be a vibrant celebration of young talent, resilience and dedication.

The TNR Shining Star Little Champ Awards are a special initiative by The Newz Radar, Himachal Pradesh’s first and only English digital news network. This ceremony follows the remarkable success of three editions of the flagship TNR Shining Star Awards, which have been honouring top-performing Class X and XII students since their launch in 2023.

Each edition of the TNR awards has seen an overwhelming turnout from students, educators, parents and the wider community, evolving into a people’s movement that goes beyond just felicitations, celebrating the spirit of academic pride and youth empowerment.

Sunil Chadha, Executive Editor, The Newz Radar, says these awards are not just about marks, but motivation, resilience and reminding students that their hard work matters.

S Gopal Puri, Political Editor, The Newz Radar, calls the awards as a salute to the silent supporters, including parents and teachers, who fuel the dreams of meritorious students.

Abhinav Sharma, Head of HR, The Newz Radar, says as exam results bring both excitement and pressure, TNR remains committed to standing by the students — not just as journalists, but as partners in their journey to success.
