Third emergency airlift from Pangi in recent days

This marks the third emergency airlift from Pangi in recent days, highlighting the region’s severe inaccessibility due to heavy snowfall.

Given the valley’s challenging terrain and extreme winter conditions, such air deliveries are crucial in ensuring smooth academic operations.

Videos of the patient’s evacuation and the airlifting of the examination papers have surfaced, showcasing the harsh realities of life in one of Himachal’s most difficult-to-reach regions.

An official said the administration continues to monitor the situation, providing necessary support to the residents affected by extreme weather conditions.

Meanwhile, the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education also utilised the helicopter service to deliver Class 9 and Class 11 exam papers to Pangi Valley.
