Government Senior Secondary School Rakkar celebrated its Annual Function on Saturday with great enthusiasm. The event was graced by Devendra Jaggi, former Mayor of Dharamshala Municipal Corporation and Congress candidate, who attended as the Chief Guest.
Upon his arrival, Jaggi was warmly welcomed by the school staff and local residents. The Principal presented the annual report, followed by the felicitation of meritorious students by the Chief Guest.
š« Announcements for School Development
Responding to demands from villagers and the school management, Jaggi announced the construction of a boundary wall and stage, assuring that the work would be completed soon. He also pledged ā¹21,000 from his side to support the school. Highlighting infrastructure needs, Jaggi stated that the shortage of school buildings in Rakkar would also be addressed at the earliest.
š Political Remarks
During his address, Jaggi criticized the opposition MLA from Dharamshala, alleging negligence towards public concerns and development work. He questioned the MLAās Facebook announcements, asking for accountability and visible results. Jaggi further claimed that the current Congress government has carried out significant development in Dharamshala, while the opposition attempts to take false credit.

The event was attended by several dignitaries including Mayor Neenu Sharma, Block Congress President Chaudhary Harbhajan Singh, former President Suresh Pappi, Councillor Anurag Dhiman, SMC President Vijay, Indu Sharma, Hari Lal Sharma, Mohinder Sharma, Principal Raman Kumar, and stage coordinators Pooja Sabhrwal and Chandrakant, along with school staff and local residents.
