Aditi Thakur, a student of Government College Chamba and resident of Khani Panchayat in the tribal region of Bharmour, has brought pride to her hometown by winning the prestigious “Best Speaker” award at the World Youth Parliament 2026.
The international event, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs at the University of Agricultural Sciences in Bengaluru, Karnataka, witnessed participation from delegates representing nearly 30 countries along with students from across India. Amidst this diverse gathering, Aditi stood out for her eloquence, clarity, and impactful presentation.
Her achievement has sparked celebrations in Bharmour and Chamba, with community leaders and educators praising her success. Krishna Pakhretia, President of the Himachal School Lecturer Association (Bharmour), extended heartfelt congratulations, while social worker and speaker Jagpal Chauhan expressed joy and wished her a bright future.
The recognition has created a wave of pride and inspiration among the youth of Bharmour, proving that determination and talent can shine on international platforms. Aditi’s success is being hailed as a motivating example for students across Himachal Pradesh and beyond.
