Dharamshala: In a vibrant celebration of academic excellence and youth potential, The Newz Radar media network organized its flagship Shining Star Awards on Monday at the auditorium near Government Degree College, Dharamshala.
Deputy Chief Minister, Mukesh Agnihotri was the chief guest of this event that honoured over 1,300 attendees, including students, accompanied with their parents, who scored above 90% in Class 10 and 12, top administrative officials, engineers, educators, and civil servants from across state.
The initiative, conceived with the intent to celebrate merit and spread positivity in society, resonated with a larger vision — to inspire the youth in sync with evolving national and international educational and employment trends. Importantly, the event was held without any commercial motive, focused purely on student motivation and public service.
The highlight of the evening was the keynote address by Dr. Manish Kumar Srivastava, Pro Vice Chancellor of Aarni University, who served as the event’s special guest. Speaking directly to the young achievers, he urged them to pursue their passions boldly in today’s competitive world.
“These awards are not the destination, but a milestone in your journey. Stay morally strong, never give up on yourself, and if you’re ever unclear about your direction, consult educational counsellors — we at the university are always ready to guide,” he said.
Dr. Srivastava’s remarks captivated the audience, with moments of pin-drop silence reflecting deep engagement. He emphasized the dignity and potential in every profession, advising students not to compare career choices, but instead align with their innate strengths and interests.
“Every field has its own charm and peak. Whether it’s engineering, arts, civil services, or entrepreneurship — pursue what excites you, and you’ll find your success,” he added.
Organisers shared that the Shining Star Awards are an annual tradition aimed at recognising academic talent and nurturing responsible, confident citizens. They reiterated that no donations or commercial activities are tied to the event, making it a purely social and educational initiative.
The event concluded on an inspiring note, with students, parents, and dignitaries appreciating the platform as a refreshing and uplifting moment in the academic calendar. It not only celebrated success but also ignited aspirations for the future.
