DHARAMSHALA: Three youths from Himachal Pradesh were *killed after their motorcycle collided with a police officer’s car near Jahajgarh area of Amritsar around 3 am on Monday (April 11, 2025).
The deceased have been identified as Vishesh Sharma from Kangra, and Abhishek and Vivek Sharma, both residents of Hamirpur.
A police official said preliminary investigations suggested the motorcycle was being driven at a high speed and was heading in the wrong direction on an elevated stretch of road, which likely led to the fatal crash.
At the time of the incident, a police officer was driving a private car, bearing registration number PB02DD-7070, from the direction of Nexus Mall and was entering the Amritsar city.
The bike carrying the three victims reportedly approached from the opposite direction and collided head-on with the vehicle.
The three youths suffered severe injuries and died on the spot. Police officials said the bodies had been shifted to the mortuary and the families of the victims were informed.
