Mandi: The Biodiversity Park located at Bhulah in the Janjehli area of Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh has become a favorite spot for tourists, blending spirituality, natural beauty and adventure in a unique way.
Situated at the sacred foothills of Shikari Devi, the park offers visitors an unforgettable experience amid the serene Himalayan landscape.
Developed by the Himachal Pradesh Forest Department, the park is not only winning praise for its pristine environment but is also being seen as a successful model of the state’s eco-tourism policy. Every year, thousands of devotees visit the revered Shikari Mata Temple, and now the biodiversity park has added a fresh dimension to their spiritual journey.

One of the main highlights of the park is the presence of four exquisite treehouses built among dense deodar forests. These eco-friendly accommodations combine modern comforts with rustic charm, offering space for eight to 10 persons per treehouse. A night’s stay in these treetop retreats, immersed in nature and under the stars, costs just Rs 1,500 per day, making it both affordable and adventurous.
The park’s landscape, sprawling green slopes, tall cedar trees and open skies, has drawn comparisons with the scenic beauty of Kashmir. Visitors are treated not only to tranquility and natural vistas but also to nurseries of rare and native plant species, developed by the Forest Department to conserve local biodiversity.
The park is operated and maintained by trained caretakers appointed by the Forest Department to ensure cleanliness, visitor safety and ecological balance.
Speaking to The Newz Radar, Forest Range Officer Mahender Singh said, “Tourists from across Himachal and other states are now making their way to this park. The treehouses have become especially popular for overnight stays, offering an ideal way to enjoy the forest and its calm environment.”
With its unique combination of spiritual significance, eco-friendly infrastructure and immersive nature experiences, the Bhulah Biodiversity Park stands out as a shining example of how responsible tourism can thrive in the hills of Himachal Pradesh.
