: In a landmark development for adventure tourism, a successful paragliding trial was conducted today in the remote yet breathtaking Pangi Valley of Himachal Pradesh. The trial, carried out with technical support from the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (ABVIMAS), Manali, marks a significant step toward transforming the region into a hub for adventure sports.

The event was led by ABVIMAS Joint Director Rohit Sharma, with active participation from Pangi’s Residential Commissioner Raman Gharsangi and Tehsildar Shanta Kumar. The first flight was taken by pilot Inder Singh from ABVIMAS, followed by experienced pilots from Dalhousie and Chamba, who added to the success of the event with their skilled performances.

This trial is not just a technical milestone but a symbol of immense potential for the valley. With its rugged terrain and pristine natural beauty, Pangi is ideally suited for paragliding and similar adventure activities. The successful execution of this event is expected to boost tourism, strengthen the local economy, and create new employment opportunities.

A key contributor to this achievement is Dr. Haresh Sharma, founder of the Seva Sanstha, whose unwavering dedication and vision have played a pivotal role in promoting adventure sports in the region. His leadership has opened new avenues for development in Pangi.

The trial has sparked fresh hope for tourism in the valley. Visitors will now have the chance to experience not only the scenic charm of the region but also the thrill of adventure. With further development, Pangi Valley could emerge as a premier destination for domestic and international tourists, benefiting the broader tourism landscape of Himachal Pradesh.
