Ritish Pandit, a 20-year-old boy from Dehra Gopipur subdivision’s Sunhet village in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, has secured admission in Masters in Computational Social Science at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Jodhpur.
Ritish has secured all-India rank 2 in the pan-India test and interview held by the IIT. He is presently a final year student of Economics Honours at Panjab University, Chandigarh. Earlier, he did his schooling from DAV Public School, Dehra Gopipur, in non-medical stream and secured 95.6 per cent marks.
Along with his undergraduate studies, he is actively engaged in extra-curricular activities at the college. He is the president of the Readers Club of his college. Furthermore, he has interned at the Government of Himachal Pradesh’s Economics and Statistics department and The Indian Express. He also works as an independent journalist and several of his pieces have been published in reputed media portals of the country, which include The Quint, The Indian Express, Article-14.com, Scroll and Outlook India.
Ritish thanked his grandparents and parents for providing him best possible opportunities despite constraints. He also thanked his teachers and friends for guiding him in his academic journey.
