Oxford-AstraZeneca Vaccine Side Effects Cause Global Concern, Indian Scientists Urge Calm
The dangerous side effects of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine, such as blood clotting, are currently a topic of discussion worldwide, causing fear among the people of many countries.
The vaccine was administered in the country under the name Covishield to protect against COVID-19. Now, with AstraZeneca acknowledging the side effects in the UK High Court, countries where these vaccines were used are also starting to panic.
However, Indian scientists monitoring the vaccine have stated that there is no need to panic unnecessarily due to this report. This is because the side effects being reported also occur with other vaccines.
Dr. Samiran Panda, a key epidemiologist in the country during the COVID-19 pandemic and a senior scientist at the ICMR, said that people do not need to fear or try to understand by googling.
Scientists are working in this direction.
