Dharamshala: The Election Commission has announced that the four Lok Sabha seats in Himachal Pradesh will go to polls on June 1.
This decision is part of the seven-phase voting process across the country, with the Himachal Pradesh poll for the four LS seats to be held in the seventh phase.
The total number of voters in the district is 658248 males, 648915 females, and four third-gender electors, bringing the total to 1307167 voters.
For the first time, young voters aged 18 to 19 will have the opportunity to cast their votes in the Lok Sabha election. In Kangra district, there are 6775 male and 3666 female first-time voters.
Kangra district has 1412 polling stations, with 120 in urban areas and 1292 in rural areas. In the previous Vidhan Sabha Election held in 2022, the total number of voters was 13,34,542, out of which 9,68,575 voters cast their votes, resulting in a voter turnout of 72.58%.
