Congress minority wing releases list of Parliamentary, district coordinators; vows to take Center’s anti-people policies to every household

Dharamshala: Congress minority wing has announced the appointments of Parliamentary and district coordinators in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The appointments were disclosed by the national coordinator of the All India Congress Committee and minority wing in charge for Himachal Pradesh, Saadik Khan.
Addressing media persons, Khan said that Cyril Chand has been appointed as the Parliamentary coordinator for the Kangra-Chamba constituency, Nasibdeen for Hamirpur, Suleman Ansari for Mandi, and Mushtaq Ahmad for Shimla constituency.
Among the district coordinators, Umar Khatab has been appointed for Kangra, Khalid Mirza for Chamba, Salamdeen for Hamirpur, Ali Mohammad for Bilaspur, Shakeel Mohammad for Una, Liyaqat Ali for Mandi, Mohammad Ashraf for Shimla, and Manjur Malik for Sirmaur. The appointments for Kullu, Lahaul Spiti, and Kinnaur are still under discussion.
Khan emphasized that the Congress Party in Himachal Pradesh is geared up for the Lok Sabha elections, aiming to oust the BJP government at the Center. He criticized the current central government’s policies, stating that they have distressed the people of the country, with inflation and unemployment at an all-time high.
Khan also condemned attempts to spread hatred and divide people in the name of religion. He reiterated the Congress’s opposition to the recruitment through the “Agni Veer” program, considering it detrimental to the future of the country’s youth.
Regarding the state of Himachal Pradesh, Khan accused the central government of neglecting to compensate for losses incurred during natural disasters. He criticized BJP leaders in Himachal Pradesh for failing to assert the state’s rights. The event was attended by Cyril Chand, the newly appointed Parliamentary coordinator for Kangra-Chamba constituency, Hans Raj Thakur, a member of the District Grievance Redressal Committee, and Umar Khatab, the district coordinator for Kangra, among other office-bearers.
