Mandi:Apurva Devgan, an IAS officer of the 2015 batch of the Indian Administrative Service, took charge as the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Mandi on February 1.
Prior to this, Devgan served as the DC in Chamba district.
He becomes the 41st DC of Mandi. The outgoing DC, Arindam Chaudhuri, handed over the responsibilities to Devgan.
Devgan has previously served as the Secretary of the Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board. He has also held positions as the SDM of Banjar and Karsog, and additional Magistrate in Shimla.
After taking charge as the DC of Mandi, Devgan urged all officials, employees, and residents of the district to actively contribute and cooperate for the comprehensive development of the district. He expressed his commitment to implement all government welfare schemes at the grassroots level to ensure that the benefits reach every individual.
