Mandi: Cabinet Minister Vikramaditya Singh, visited Mandi and directed PWD officials to expedite the Panchvaktra Footbridge’s completion by Shivratri on March 8.
He was accompanied by MP Pratibha Singh, who contributed Rs 10 lakhs for the bridge’s reconstruction, the minister highlighted additional government funds allocated due to her efforts.
During an informal conversation with journalists, the minister discussed his recent meeting with Central Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari in Delhi. He secured assurance of Rs 152 crores for the swift improvement and repair of Himachal’s disaster-affected national highways, benefitting Mandi-Kullu routes.
Addressing speculations about his political affiliation, Vikramaditya Singh expressed contentment with their current position, confirming MP Pratibha Singh’s candidacy for Mandi.
MP Pratibha Singh affirmed her readiness for Lok Sabha elections, leaving the decision to the party’s high command. Minister discussed machinery deployed for snow-closed roads and welcomed extended rainfall and snowfall, anticipating positive impacts on Himachal’s agriculture and tourism industry.
