Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repswal today honored athlete Seema, who brought glory to India, Himachal Pradesh, and Chamba district by winning a bronze medal in the 10,000‑meter race at the 2026 Asian Games held in Aichi‑Nagoya, Japan.
Extending congratulations and best wishes, the Deputy Commissioner praised Seema’s remarkable achievement and expressed hope for her bright future. He emphasized that her success is a source of inspiration for the youth of the district, especially talented players from remote areas. He encouraged Seema to aim for greater heights, including winning gold medals in upcoming Olympics and other international competitions.
During the interaction, the Deputy Commissioner inquired about Seema’s training, practice routines, and daily schedule. He highlighted that her journey from a remote region to the international stage reflects her hard work, dedication, and determination. He added that Seema’s success has made the entire district proud and will motivate other young athletes, particularly from rural and far‑flung areas, to pursue excellence in sports.
