A large-scale cleanliness and polythene-free campaign was organised today at Government Arya College, Nurpur under the chairmanship and guidance of Acting Principal Dr. Rakesh Kumar.
The initiative aimed to spread awareness about environmental protection and promote a polythene-free region. A total of 56 NSS volunteers actively participated in the drive, led by NSS Programme Officer Surjeet Singh.
Student groups carried out extensive cleaning across the college premises, collecting scattered waste — especially harmful polythene — and ensuring its proper disposal. Volunteers also displayed posters to spread the message of cleanliness and eco-conscious living.
Dr. Rakesh Kumar praised the efforts of the NSS unit, stressing that cleanliness and a polythene-free environment are collective responsibilities. He lauded the students’ commitment to social responsibility and environmental conservation.
